Introdução

Candles ("the app") is developed by Grisu Studio. This policy describes what the app stores, what it sends, and what it never touches. Candles has no accounts, no login and no servers of ours. Your events, colours, icons and settings are written to the app's private storage on your device and stay there. The only data that leaves your phone is what Google's advertising SDK sends in order to serve the single banner ad that keeps the app free, and you control whether that ad is personalised.

Dados que coletamos

Stored on your device only, never transmitted to us: the events you add (name, date, colour, icon, recurrence), your reminder choices, your countdown-unit preference and settings, and the answer to the one-time age question — kept as a bracket only ("under 13" or "13 or over"), never a date of birth. Widget data (your next events and their days-left) is shared only into the app's own app-group container on your device so the home-screen widgets can read it; it never leaves the phone. Collected by Google AdMob, not by us, to serve the event-list banner: your device advertising identifier, IP address, coarse device information and ad interaction data. The app never asks for your name, email, contacts, photos or location.

Como usamos seus dados

Your events are used only to draw the shelf, the countdowns and the widgets, and to schedule any reminders you asked for — notifications are local, scheduled by the app on your device, never pushed from a server. There are no analytics and no crash reporting. Advertising data is used by Google to deliver and measure the one banner ad on the event list; there are no interstitial or rewarded ads in this app. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom the app shows Google's consent form before any ad loads, and on iOS it shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Declining either keeps the ad non-personalised rather than removing it, and both choices can be revisited in Settings → Privacy and ads.

Privacidade de crianças

Candles is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children. The app asks one neutral, skippable age question and keeps the answer as a bracket rather than a date of birth. If you indicate you are under 13, ads switch to child-directed treatment on that device: restricted to the "General audiences" rating, never personalised, no advertising identifier used, and Apple's tracking prompt is never shown. The setting can be changed at any time in Settings → Privacy and ads. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app has no mechanism to do so.

Segurança dos dados

Because we run no servers and hold no database of our own, there is no copy of your data anywhere for us to lose. Your events live in the app's private storage on your device, protected by the operating system's sandboxing and your device encryption; the widget copy lives in the app's own app-group container, equally sandboxed. Deleting an event removes it everywhere including the widgets, and uninstalling the app removes everything. Data handled by Google AdMob is governed by Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Alterações nesta política

We will update this policy whenever the app's behaviour changes in a way that affects it, and the "Last Updated" date above will change with it. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Fale com a gente

Questions, corrections or a request to delete data: email support@grisu.co with "Candles privacy" in the subject. Because all of your data is held on your own device, a deletion request is fulfilled by deleting events in the app or uninstalling it — we hold nothing to delete on our side.
