Introduction
Quadrille ("the app") is developed by Grisu Studio. This policy describes what the app stores, what it sends, and what it never touches. Quadrille has no accounts, no login and no servers of ours. The codes you make, the codes you scan, the styles you choose and your settings are written to local storage on your device and stay there. The camera is used on the device to find a QR code in what it sees; no frame is stored and no frame is sent anywhere. The only data that leaves your phone is what Google's advertising SDK sends in order to serve the ads that keep the app free, and you control whether those ads are personalised.
Portée
Cette politique de confidentialité s'applique uniquement à l'application Quadrille.
Données que nous collectons
Stored on your device only, never transmitted to us: every code you make (its type, the text it encodes and the style you gave it), every code you scan (its type and the text it encodes), which codes you have marked as favourites, and your settings (theme, app language, sound, haptics, the default style for new codes). We also store the answer to the one-time age question as a bracket only, either "under 13" or "13 or over", never a birth year or date of birth. The camera: when you scan, the app reads camera frames on the device to recognise a QR code. The frames are processed in memory and discarded; the app never saves a photo, never records video, and never uploads an image. When you choose to scan a photo from your library, the app reads that one photo on the device to look for a code and does not copy or upload it. Saving an exported code to your photo library uses add-only access; the app never reads your existing photos. Collected by Google AdMob, not by us, in order to serve ads: your device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), IP address, coarse device information such as model and operating system version, and ad interaction data. The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts or location. A contact or event you type into a code stays inside that code on your device.
Utilisation de vos données
Your codes are used only inside the app: to draw them, to export them when you ask, to list them in the library and to re-open them for editing. They are never uploaded, never shared and never analysed by us; the app contains no analytics and no crash reporting. Exporting a code, or your library as a CSV, TXT or JSON file, hands a file to your system share sheet or, if you choose, saves an image to your photo library; you decide where it goes and nothing is uploaded in the process. Opening a scanned link, email address, phone number or message hands it to the app on your phone that handles it, and only when you tap the button to do so. Advertising data is used by Google to deliver and measure ads: a banner on the Library and Settings screens and, occasionally, a full-screen ad after you finish exporting a code or your library. Ads never appear on the camera screen. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom the app shows Google's consent form before any ad loads. On iOS the app shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, after a short explanation of its own, the first time you save or scan a code rather than at launch; until you answer it, ads are non-personalised. Declining either one keeps ads non-personalised rather than removing them, and you can revisit both choices at any time from Settings → Privacy and ads. The app also caps the content rating of every ad it requests. A one-time purchase removes ads entirely; it is handled by the App Store or Google Play, and we never see your payment details.
Protection des mineurs
Quadrille is a utility listed for ages 13 and over and is not directed to children. The app asks one neutral, skippable age question and keeps the answer as a bracket rather than a date of birth. If you indicate you are under 13, the app switches to child-directed ad treatment on that device: ads are restricted to the "General audiences" rating, are never personalised, no advertising identifier is used, and Apple's tracking prompt is never shown. The setting can be changed at any time in Settings → Privacy and ads. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app has no mechanism to do so.
Sécurité des données
Because we run no servers and hold no database of our own, there is no copy of your data anywhere for us to lose or be compelled to hand over. Your codes and settings live in the app's private local storage on your device (a SQLite database and a small settings file), protected by the operating system's sandboxing and by whatever device encryption you have enabled. Any code can be deleted from its own screen, "Delete all my data" in Settings erases every code the app has saved, and uninstalling the app removes everything. Camera frames are never written to disk. Data handled by Google AdMob is governed by Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Modifications de cette politique
We will update this policy whenever the app's behaviour changes in a way that affects it, and the "Last Updated" date above will change with it. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Nous contacter
Questions, corrections or a request to delete data: email support@grisu.co with "Quadrille privacy" in the subject. Because all of your data is held on your own device, a deletion request is fulfilled by deleting it in the app or uninstalling it; we hold nothing to delete on our side.
