À propos de Saccade

Saccade is a black instrument with one red light. Twelve drills, about a minute each, each one a number: the F1 start (five lamps, a hold, lights out, tap), a simple red-screen reaction, go / no-go, a 4×4 reaction wall, a peripheral flash, a Schulte table, pursuit tracking of a moving disc, saccade jumps between two targets, anticipation timing of a bar to a line, Stroop, a flash span of digits, and a chase of scattered numbers. Three timed warm-ups run several drills back to back with a five-second rest: an FPS warm-up, an F1 pre-session and a Focus set. Every run is kept, and Results shows each drill's best, last and mean with a chart of the last twenty runs. The stimulus and the tap are both read on the phone's UI thread on one clock, so the number is as honest as a phone can make it, and the app says once what it cannot promise: the phone adds a few dozen milliseconds of its own, so compare your numbers to your numbers, on this phone. No account, no server.

Fonctionnalités

Lights Out, the F1 Start

Five lamps light one per second, hold for a random 0.2–3 seconds, and go out together. Tap. A tap before lights-out is a jump start and the lamps go amber. Best of five, each trial reported, then the mean and the best

Twelve Drills, One Number Each

Simple reaction, go / no-go, a 4×4 reaction wall for thirty seconds, a peripheral flash you answer by side, a Schulte table from 1 to 25, pursuit tracking of a disc on a smooth path, saccade jumps, anticipation timing, Stroop, a flash span of digits and a twenty-second chase. Every drill is free

Timed Warm-ups

The FPS warm-up runs saccade jumps, pursuit, the wall and go / no-go with a five-second rest card between them and a ring that fills a drill at a time. The F1 pre-session and the Focus set are Pro. A summary card puts each drill's number against your last run of it

Read on One Clock

The stimulus is stamped with the frame it appears on and the tap is read in a gesture worklet on the same UI-thread clock; the subtraction happens there and only the finished number crosses to JavaScript. Nothing is timed through a button press or a timer

Your Numbers, Kept

Results lists every drill you have run with its best, its last and the mean of the last ten, and a bar chart of the last twenty runs with the best ticked. The app says once what it cannot promise: the phone adds a few dozen milliseconds, so it only compares this phone to itself

On Your Phone, Full Stop

No account, no login, no server. Runs live in a local database, settings in local storage, and Delete all my data erases every run in one tap
