Practise your altitude awareness. On the ground.

Sobre Canopy
An altimeter simulator for skydiving students. Watch a physically plausible dial run from exit altitude to the ground through a configurable freefall and canopy profile, with audible alerts at your own breakoff, pull and warning altitudes. Feet or metres with a distinct face for each, belly or freefly fall rates, a surprise mode that randomises the start so you genuinely have to check, and a practice log. Simulation only — never for an actual jump.
Características
A Dial Worth Watching
A physically plausible instrument face with smooth needle motion, plus a digital readout, driven by a tested descent model rather than a linear countdown
Your Own Alert Altitudes
Breakoff, pull, warning and canopy alerts each configurable with a distinct tone and optional haptics
Realistic Profiles
Exit altitude, belly or freefly fall rate, and canopy-open altitude with a slower descent under canopy
Surprise Mode
The dive starts after a random delay, so a student has to actually check the altimeter instead of counting
Feet Or Metres
Each unit system gets its own face styling rather than a converted number on the same dial
Practice Log
Saved profiles and a record of the sessions you have run, kept on the device

Simulation only — not a real altimeter
Canopy is a training aid for practising altitude awareness on the ground. It is not an altimeter and must never be used on an actual jump. That notice appears on first launch, has to be acknowledged before anything else renders, and is repeated on the simulator screen. Nothing in this app is life-safety equipment.
The point is that you cannot predict it
A simulator you can time by counting teaches you to count. Surprise mode starts the dive after a randomised delay, so the only way to know your altitude is to look at the dial — which is the habit the whole exercise exists to build.
Configured to your actual jump
Exit altitude, fall rate for belly or freefly, canopy-open altitude and the descent rate under canopy are all yours to set, and your alert altitudes are set separately for breakoff, pull, warning and canopy. Save the combinations you use and switch between them.
Never interrupted
No ad appears during a simulated dive. Advertising is confined to the menu, the log and settings, because an interruption during an awareness drill defeats the drill.
