About Aubade
A daily affirmation app built around one idea: the line should find you. Every morning a short sentence arrives, written in the first person for the app, set large on a sheet of warm paper under a rising sun. Add the widget and the day's line is on your home screen before you open the app, turning the page at midnight. Write a line of your own, pin it, and the widget shows yours instead. Ten themes to choose from, the lines you save, a record of past days, and one optional notification a day at the hour you pick. 370 original lines in five languages. No account, no server, no streaks, no claims.
Features
One Line A Day
A new sentence every morning, in the first person, in plain words you can say about yourself and mean. 370 of them across ten themes, so a whole year goes by without a repeat. Every one was written for the app; none is a quote
On Your Home Screen
Small, medium and lock-screen widgets on iPhone, a resizable widget on Android. The day's line turns at midnight on its own, and on iPhone the sun rises on the widget at the top of each hour
Your Own Words, Pinned
Write the line you need, keep it, and pin it to the widget. The widget shows the line you chose, not a random one
Ten Themes, Your Choice
Calm, focus, courage, self-worth, gratitude, body, money, relationships, morning and night. Switch off the ones that are not for you
One A Day, Or None
Choose an hour and Aubade sends one notification with that day's line. It is off until you switch it on, and it never sends anything else
No Account, No Streaks
Nothing to sign up for and no score to keep. Your saved lines and your own words stay on your phone. Missing a day costs you nothing

About Aubade
An aubade is a poem that greets the dawn. Aubade the app is one short line a day: a sentence in the first person, written for the app, set large on a sheet of warm paper under a small rose sun that rises as the words arrive. There are 370 of them across ten themes, so a whole year goes by without a repeat, in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and German. None of them is a quote and none of them promises you anything.
The line comes to you
The point is the widget. Add it and the day’s line is on your home screen, turning the page at midnight without the app. On iPhone there is a small and a medium widget and one for the lock screen, and at the top of each hour the sun rises on the widget and the line fades up. On Android a resizable widget shows the same line.
Your own words
Some days the line you need is one only you can write. Write it, keep it, pin it, and the widget shows yours instead of the day’s. The lines you write never leave your phone.
Quiet by design
The daily notification is off until you switch it on, and it is one a day at the hour you choose, carrying that day’s line. There are no streaks and no score, so missing a day costs you nothing. A small banner sits on the themes and settings screens and one full-screen ad may follow a shared card; the daily sheet never carries an ad. Nothing is sold.
What it does not do
Aubade 1.0 has no account, no sync, no cloud backup, no audio, no quotes from anyone and no claims about what reading a line will do for you.
