Five Facts Privacy Policy

Introduction

Five Facts ("the app") is developed by Grisu Studio. This policy describes what the app stores, what it sends, and what it never touches. Five Facts has no accounts, no login and no servers of ours. Your progress is written to local storage on your device and stays there. The daily and practice fact sets ship inside the app, so playing a round never fetches anything from us. The only data that leaves your phone is what Google's advertising SDK sends in order to serve the ads that keep the app free, and you control whether those ads are personalised.

Scope

This privacy policy applies solely to the Five Facts mobile application.

Data We Collect

Stored on your device only, never transmitted to us: your coins, XP and level, your streak, your streak freezes and the days they covered, your badge progress, your personal bests, the dailies you played and the rounds you played (mode, category, which card you accused, whether you were right, hints used and how long the round took), and your settings (theme, app language, sound, haptics, keep-awake, the streak reminder and its time). The answer to the one-time age question is kept as a bracket only — "under 13" or "13 or over"; if you pick a birth year it is converted to that bracket and discarded, and the app never stores a date of birth. Collected by Google AdMob, not by us, in order to serve ads: your device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) where permitted, IP address, coarse device information such as model and operating system version, and ad interaction data. The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location or photos.

How We Use Your Data

Your progress is used only inside the app: to show your streak, calendar, badges, level and bests, to pay coins and XP, and to decide whether today's reminder is still needed. It is never uploaded, shared or analysed by us — the app contains no analytics of its own and there is no server of ours for it to go to. The streak reminder is off until you turn it on; turning it on asks for notification permission at that moment, and the reminder is a local notification scheduled by your own device, with no push token. Sharing a result, a streak or a badge opens your system share sheet with an image (and, on iOS, a line of text) that you send wherever you choose. Advertising data is used by Google to deliver and measure ads: a banner on some screens, an occasional full-screen ad after a finished round, and a rewarded ad only when you choose to watch one for coins or a streak freeze. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Google's consent form appears before any ad loads, and on iOS Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt appears behind a short explanation of our own after your first round — never at launch. Declining either keeps ads non-personalised rather than removing them, and you can revisit both on the Fibb tab under Privacy and ads. Every ad request caps the content rating, so gambling, alcohol, dating and similar adult categories are excluded.

Children's Privacy

Five Facts is a trivia game listed for ages 13 and over and is not directed to children. The app asks one neutral, skippable age question and keeps the answer as a bracket. If you indicate you are under 13, the app switches to child-directed ad treatment on that device: ads are restricted to general audiences, never personalised, no advertising identifier is used, and Apple's tracking prompt is never shown. The setting can be changed at any time on the Fibb tab under Privacy and ads. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app has no way to — no account, no messaging, no upload.

Data Security

Because we run no servers and hold no database of our own, there is no copy of your progress anywhere for us to lose or be compelled to hand over. Your data lives in the app's private local storage, protected by the operating system's sandboxing and your device encryption. "Delete all my data" on the Fibb tab erases it at once and switches the reminder off, and uninstalling the app removes it permanently. Data handled by Google AdMob is governed by Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We will update this policy whenever the app's behaviour changes in a way that affects it, and the "Last Updated" date above will change with it. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Because all of your data is held on your own device, a deletion request is fulfilled by "Delete all my data" in the app or by uninstalling it — we hold nothing to delete on our side.
