Dryline Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 29, 2026
Introduction
Dryline ("the app") is being developed by Grisu Studio and is not yet released. This policy describes how the app is designed to behave; it will be reviewed before the app is published, and the "Last Updated" date will change with it. Dryline has no accounts, no login and no servers of ours. Everything you enter is written to the app's private storage on your device and stays there. The only data that leaves your phone is what Google's advertising SDK sends in order to serve the ads that keep the app free, and you control whether those ads are personalised.
Scope
This privacy policy applies solely to the Dryline mobile application.
Data We Collect
Stored on your device only, never transmitted to us: your lines (name and start date), any days you log with "I drank" (date, an optional count and an optional note), what a week used to cost and in which currency, and your settings (the evening check-in and its time, theme, language). The answer to the one-time age question is kept as a bracket only, "under 13" or "13 or over", never a date of birth. Collected by Google AdMob, not by us, in order to serve ads: your device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) where permitted, IP address, coarse device information such as model and operating system version, and ad interaction data. Nothing you log is ever passed to the ad SDK. The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, camera, photos, microphone or any health data.
How We Use Your Data
Your entries are used only inside the app: to draw the tide, the runs, the totals, the chips and the money kept. They are never uploaded, shared or analysed by us, and the app contains no analytics of its own. The evening check-in is off until you turn it on; turning it on asks for notification permission at that moment, and it is a local notification scheduled by your own device, with no push token, never sent between 22:00 and 08:00. The help row opens findahelpline.com in your browser; the app sends nothing with it. Sharing a milestone card opens your system share sheet with an image you send wherever you choose. Advertising data is used by Google to deliver and measure ads: a banner on the Money and Settings screens (never on Home or when you log a day) and an occasional full-screen ad after you share a milestone card. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Google's consent form appears before any ad loads. On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency alert appears shortly after you save your first line, or when you open Settings, Privacy and ads; never at launch and with no screen of ours before it, and no ad is requested until it has been answered. Declining either keeps ads non-personalised rather than removing them, and you can revisit both in Settings under Privacy and ads. Every ad request caps the content rating, and alcohol, betting, dating and drug or supplement ads are blocked.
Children's Privacy
Dryline is about drinking and is not directed to children. The app asks one neutral, skippable age question and keeps the answer as a bracket. If you indicate you are under 13, the app switches to child-directed ad treatment on that device: ads are restricted to general audiences, never personalised, no advertising identifier is used, and Apple's tracking alert is never shown. The setting can be changed at any time in Settings under Privacy and ads. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app has no way to: no account, no messaging, no upload.
Data Security
Because we run no servers and hold no database of our own, there is no copy of your days anywhere for us to lose or be compelled to hand over. Your data lives in the app's private storage on your device, protected by the operating system's sandboxing and your device encryption. "Delete all my data" in Settings erases it at once and switches the check-in off, and uninstalling the app removes it permanently. Data handled by Google AdMob is governed by Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy will be reviewed before the app is released and updated whenever the app's behaviour changes in a way that affects it; the "Last Updated" date above will change with it. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Contact Us
Questions, corrections or a request to delete data: email support@grisu.co with "Dryline privacy" in the subject. Because all of your data is held on your own device, a deletion request is fulfilled by "Delete all my data" in Settings or by uninstalling the app; we hold nothing to delete on our side.
