Einleitung
Datefall ("the app") is made by Grisú Studio LLC. This policy is written from the app's code rather than from intentions: every storage key and database table named below is a real one. Datefall has no accounts, no sign-in and no servers of ours — the daily five is worked out on your device from the UTC date, which is why it is the same for everyone in the world on the same day and why it plays with the phone in airplane mode. The only data that leaves your phone is what Google's advertising SDK sends in order to serve the ads that keep the app free, and you control how personalised those are.
Geltungsbereich
Diese Datenschutzerklärung gilt ausschließlich für die App Datefall.
Welche Daten wir erheben
Stored on your device only, in the app's private storage, and never transmitted to us. Five local key-value records: "datefall.progress.v1" holds your coin balance and your streak record (current streak, longest streak, the YYYY-MM-DD day key of the last daily you finished, your unspent streak freezes, and the total days you have played); "settings.v1" holds your theme, sound, haptics, keep-screen-awake and intro flags together with your ad age bracket; "i18n.locale.v1" holds the app language if you picked one instead of following the device; "ads.frequency.v1" holds when the last full-screen ad was shown and how many rounds you have finished, used only to enforce the ad limits below; and "iap.entitlements.v1" records whether this device owns Datefall Pro. One local SQLite database, datefall.db, holds a single table of user data — "rounds" — with one row per finished round: when you played it, whether it was the daily or practice, which practice deck, the UTC day key if it was a daily, how many cards landed in exactly the right slot out of how many, the coins that round paid, and the difficulty band it was dealt at. That is the whole row: the rounds table stores no event cards, no submitted order and nothing about you, and your stats and achievement tiers are counted from it each time you open the Progress screen rather than stored. The answer to the one-time age question is kept as a bracket only — either "under 13" or "13 or over". You are asked for a birth year, it is converted to that bracket and discarded in the same step, and no birth year or date of birth is written to storage, to a share image or to a backup. Collected by Google AdMob, not by us, in order to serve ads: your device advertising identifier (the IDFA on iOS, the Advertising ID on Android), your IP address, coarse device information such as model and operating system version, and ad interaction data. The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or location, and requests none of those permissions.
Wie wir deine Daten nutzen
Your rounds are used only inside the app: to stop the daily being played twice, to compute your streak and your stats, and to fill the achievement ladders. They are never uploaded, never shared and never analysed by us — the app contains no analytics SDK and no crash reporting. Advertising data is used by Google to deliver and measure ads, under publisher ID ca-app-pub-2436752436224351. Banner ads appear on the home, practice, progress and settings screens only, and never on a screen where you are dragging cards. A full-screen interstitial can appear at exactly one moment — when you dismiss the result card after a round has already finished — and is capped in code: nothing before your third finished round, at least three minutes between two of them, and no more than four in a single run of the app. A rewarded video is the only ad you choose: where one is available the result card offers a coin top-up in exchange for watching it, the button is drawn only when an ad has actually loaded, and coins are credited only when Google's SDK reports the reward as earned — never for a tap and never for closing the ad. It is never required to play a round, see the reveal or keep a streak, and in the current release no rewarded ad unit has been created for Datefall yet, so in practice you will see banners and interstitials only. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom Google's consent form is shown before any ad is requested, and on iOS Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt follows it; declining either keeps ads non-personalised rather than removing them, and anything short of an explicit grant — including a consent flow that failed — is treated as "do not personalise". Both choices can be revisited at any time from Settings → Privacy and ads. Every ad request is also capped at a "PG" content rating, or "General audiences" for the under-13 bracket. Datefall Pro is a single one-time purchase that removes ads, handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play; we never see your payment details, and restore is always available.
Datenschutz von Kindern
Datefall is listed for ages 13 and over and is not directed to children. The app asks one neutral, skippable age question — a birth-year wheel that opens on "not set", so no answer is suggested to you — and keeps only the bracket it resolves to. Skipping is treated exactly the same as answering with an adult year. If the bracket is "under 13", ad treatment on that device becomes stricter and cannot become looser: ads are capped at Google's "General audiences" content rating, the child-directed and under-age-of-consent flags are set on every request, ads are never personalised, no advertising identifier is used, and Apple's tracking prompt is never shown. The setting can be changed at any time from Settings → Privacy and ads. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app has no mechanism with which to do so.
Datensicherheit
Because we run no servers and hold no database of our own, there is no copy of your data anywhere for us to lose or be compelled to hand over. Everything named above lives in the app's private storage on your device, protected by the operating system's sandboxing and by whatever device encryption you have enabled. Settings → Privacy and ads → Delete all my data, behind a confirmation, erases your round history: every row of the rounds table, and with it the Progress screen's chart, its stat tiles and its achievement counters. Your coin balance, streak and preferences are held separately from that table and are not removed by that control; uninstalling the app removes everything Datefall has saved and is the complete erase. Sharing a result renders a card to an image and hands it to your system share sheet — you choose where it goes, nothing is uploaded, and the card shows the shape of your day and your score, never the answers. Data handled by Google AdMob is governed by Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Änderungen dieser Erklärung
We will update this policy whenever the app’s behaviour changes in a way that affects it, and the "Last Updated" date above will change with it. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Kontakt
Questions, corrections or a request to delete data: email support@grisu.co with "Datefall privacy" in the subject. Because all of your data is held on your own device, a deletion request is fulfilled by deleting it in the app or uninstalling it — we hold nothing to delete on our side.
