About Yearfold
Yearfold is a one-line diary that folds your years together. Each evening, write one line about the day, up to 200 characters, and tap Save, the only button on the page. The same date from earlier years slides in underneath, so over time every day of the calendar becomes a small stack: this year, last year, the year before. The Year view turns every day you wrote into a dot; tap one to open that date's stack, or search everything you have ever written. Lock the diary behind Face ID or your fingerprint, export a year as a PDF booklet, and turn on an evening reminder that skips the days you already wrote. Both the lock and the booklet are free. No streaks, no prompts telling you how to feel, no account. Nib, a little fountain-pen nib, keeps you company, and your lines never leave your device.
Features
One Line, One Button
A ruled line, a blinking caret and up to 200 characters. Save is the only button on the page.
Your Years, Stacked
The moment you save, the same date from earlier years slides in underneath, so every day of the calendar grows into a stack.
A Year of Dots
Every day you wrote becomes a dot. Tap one to open that date's stack; an empty day is just an empty dot, never a broken streak.
Search Everything
Find any line you have ever written, by any word in it.
Locked and Printable, Free
Put the diary behind Face ID or your fingerprint, and export a year as a ruled PDF booklet. Neither costs anything.
A Reminder That Knows
One optional evening reminder, at the time you pick, that stays quiet on days you already wrote.
