About Centil
Centil turns every measurement into a Z-score, a percentile and a point on the published growth curve, by day of life: weight for age, length/height for age, weight for length/height, BMI and head circumference, plus arm circumference and skinfolds. CDC 2000 charts (0 to 20 years); WHO Child Growth Standards are planned once WHO grants permission. Patients and visits are kept on the device, with growth velocity between visits, the distance to every SD line, corrected age for preterm infants, Holliday-Segar and body-surface-area maintenance fluids, and PDF, CSV and backup exports. No account, no internet needed. A calculation aid for health professionals, not a diagnostic device.

What Centil is, precisely
Centil is a calculation and visualization tool for health professionals. It is not a diagnostic device and does not replace clinical judgment; check critical values independently. That notice appears on first launch, has to be acknowledged, stays in Settings, and its short form is printed on every result.
Nothing is reconstructed from memory
Every reference table is the publisher’s own file, recorded with its checksum and citation on the in-app Methods and sources screen. References whose licence does not yet allow use in a free, ad-supported app are not active in the app until permission is granted, and the app says so.
The maths is checked against the publishers
Thousands of children scored by CDC’s reference software give the same Z-scores in Centil, and every SD and percentile value printed in the official CDC tables is reproduced from their L, M and S parameters. The same validation is prepared for WHO’s charts, pending WHO’s permission for a commercial app.
Ads never appear near a clinical number
A small banner on the patient list, in Settings and on the Methods screen. Never on a chart, a result, a form or the calculator, and never between a measurement and its result.
