About Datefall
A daily history puzzle with no questions and no multiple choice. Five events from the past arrive shuffled and there is one correct order: drag them up and down the rail into the order things actually happened, then lock it in. Everyone on Earth gets the same five cards on the same UTC day, and you get one attempt at them. Scoring is exact-position only — a card counts if it landed in its true slot, not merely near it — and the reveal walks the slots one at a time, oldest first, so you learn where you were right before you learn where you were wrong. The difficulty is chosen for you and named before you drag anything, from a gentle spread across centuries to a day where all five sit inside one narrow window and a decade is the whole margin. Beyond the daily there are seven practice decks — inventions, space, empires, art and culture, science, Latin American history and sports — drawn from 140 event cards written for this app in English and Spanish. A century hint bought with coins narrows one card without solving it, a forgiving streak counts the days you show up, and five achievement ladders keep climbing.
Features
The Same Five, Everywhere, Every Day
Five event cards keyed to the UTC calendar day, so the puzzle someone in another timezone is arguing about is the one you just played. One attempt a day, worked out on the device from the date itself — no server, no connection needed
Exact Position, Or Nothing
A card scores only if it landed in its true slot, not merely near it. Lock it in and the reveal walks the rail one card at a time, oldest slot first, so you find out where you were right before you find out where you were wrong — and five out of five bursts into clock-face confetti
Some Days Are Harder Than Others
The difficulty is chosen for you, and the app names it before you drag a single card. A gentle day spreads the five across centuries; an ordinary day is a plain draw; the hardest band packs all five into one narrow window, where a decade is the entire margin
Seven Practice Decks, 140 Event Cards
Inventions, space, empires, art and culture, science, Latin American history and sports — twenty cards each, unlimited plays, shuffle again after every result, nothing at stake. Every card is original, written for this app in English and Spanish
A Streak That Does Not Punish You
Any daily you finish keeps the streak, win or lose, and two freezes are spent silently to cover a missed day before it ever breaks — one comes back every five consecutive days. The total days you have played never goes down. Five achievement ladders keep climbing with no last tier
Everything Stays on Your Device
No account, no login, no leaderboard, no server of ours. Coins, streak and settings live in the app's private storage and your round history in a database on the phone. Ads sit on the menus and never on a board you are dragging; Datefall Pro is one optional purchase that removes them
